How to List
AgShared is the world's first national grower-to-grower site to rent and lease out high horsepower tractors, combines, and hay harvesting equipment. Listing on AgShared is easy.
1: Sign up for an account and create a profile
Once you have completed your profile, you can select "Create Listing" from the upper left hand corner.
2: Decide what category you'd like to list under
We can list a lot more than the usual listings - tractors and combines - so pick the best category that will help other growers find what they need quickly.
3: Fill out listing details
Make this as detailed as you can. Any kind of information - row spacing, PTO, wheel condition, GPS - will help renters decide if your listing is a good fit. There is a messaging feature in the listing, but this is your chance to get a customer as close as possible to booking your equipment. Add details like air conditioning and cab quality, since a lot of growers will be using your items in seasons you may not be!
4: Show your equipment off
Add as many pictures and videos as you can to show the equipment. Open the hood to show belts, show the PTO spinning, make sure you show the cab and seat, give as much of an impression of the equipment as you can. Pictures of recent maintenance records are highly recommended to show the dependability of the equipment.
5: At your dashboard ("My Listings") click on Publish
Your listing will immediately be in draft form and will not yet be published. Click on "Draft" and switch the status to "Publish". This will make your listing public.
6: Enter any payment information
You will receive a link to Stripe to setup your payments. This is a one-time per-user process, you will not have to do this every time you list. Stripe will treat you as a company, so have your company info handy (EIN, LLC information, etc.). This is necessary to process your listing fee, and to distribute the income you will make from booked rentals.
7: Answer any questions you may get from interested renters.
Renters will be sure to have questions about availability, features, row spacing, and transportation. We'll be monitoring these conversations to help out where we can.
8: Review offers made
Renters will offer prices, terms, and availability. You can refuse these offers, and under "Conversations" in your dashboard, you can ask for different price, terms or availability. Otherwise, once you accept the offer, you can arrange for transportation and ship the equipment when it is needed. We require insurance or a Loss-Damage Waiver for every transaction, so you can have peace of mind that your equipment's value will be covered in case of any incidents.
8: Rental completed
Once the equipment arrives on site, we will process payment. You and the renter can arrange transportation back, and that's it, job complete.
